A Day in the life of Piper Malone
Busy! I feel like I’m always running but I like it that way. Idle time is the devil’s plaything, right? Even if I am driving to work, dancing around pointy Fisher Price toys, or chatting with my friends, I am always thinking, plotting, and coming up with next new adventure for my characters. Right now, I’m working on Tied, the first installment of the Reign Series. Reagan and Caleb usually have my attention well into the evening.
Why did you start writing? What enticed you to begin?
I've always been a reader and started writing in middle school. The habit exploded in high school. I always had a journal with me and would jot down thoughts, ideas, poetry, anything that struck me. I would pass stories back and forth between friends. I wrote for my high school newspaper and loved going to creative writing workshops. After college, I continued to escape to all the wonderful places I created in my mind but didn’t write as often. For whatever reason, Bain got really loud one day and commanded my attention. I decided to dust everything off and start writing down Diesel's story. I locked myself in my office and the story took on a life of its own.
