Are You My Favorite Author?
I have been eagerly awaiting this installment of the Pride Series. I knew by page nine that I would not be disappointed...why? Well by page nine I was laughing out loud (literally). Oh how I love Shelly Laurenston's voice and her wicked ability to cause me to laugh out loud (not chuckle) AND not be embarrassed when people start staring at me like something is wrong.
We are introduced to the Jean-Louis Parker Pack. They are a family of prodigies- and that my friends is where the fun begins... There are so many fun- well written characters with quirky personalities that I could not decide who I wanted to have more page time with.
Antonella "Toni" Jean-Louis Parker and Ricki Lee have got to be my "new" favorite couple of the Pride Series. Of course, IMHO, it is hard to surpass Bo and Blayne and Dez and Mace Llewellyn as the number one couple. I just can't decide whose courtship was more fun to watch. I loved getting glimpses and sometimes more of past characters that I have long forgotten but quickly remembered when they appeared. This book felt like a big 'ole country family reunion except this is with characters that expands from the Magnus Series to the Pride Series. Needless to say I was in Shelly Laurenston heaven!
Toni and Rick Lee may be my favorite new couple but..OMG! Kyle Jean-Louis Parker IS my all-time favorite arrogant-brilliant-narcissistic-snobbish-"you should feel honored that I find you worthy of my precious attention"-prodigy! I love him! He just may have stolen every page scene he was in.
As far as this author goes, I will steal a partial quote from this book: We are lucky she allows us to bask in the glow of her brilliance! So what are you waiting for? Run...skip...cart-wheel to your nearest bookstore or computer and get this book. You are guaranteed a laugh out loud good read!

Totally loved this book. I am not re-reading one of her back-list books: Beast Behaving Badly because I am having withdrawals. I hate/love when I read a really good book-it takes me awhile to get into a new book.
