Ali's January Wrap-Up!!

Another month has passed, and now it’s February, the month of love. This is wonderful, because that’s what we’re about here, love and romance ;). I’m actually thankful that January is over… I didn’t think I’d survive it, lol.

January was a whirlwind for me… halfway through the month, I thought surely it was already towards the end of the month, lol. I had a wonderful time ringing in the New Year with my boyfriend. We were able to attend two parties and make it home safely around 2am. I attended my brother’s wedding in Colorado. My sister-in-law was a beautiful bride and I’m so glad I had the chance to attend. I also walked the Houston Half-Marathon with my friend Alberto… and, yes, you read that right, walked, lol. Since I’ve hurt my knee, I’ve had to take it easy. We made it to the finish line in four hours, though. The weather was definitely not running/walking friendly. It was cold and raining and I was freezing. Lucky for me, though, my bf was out there with a dry and warm sweater after I mine was soaked through. The most wonderful thing he did that day, though? Well, besides being out in the cold weather with a sign out for me (I must find the picture to post ;))… when I got back to his place, he had blankets in the dryer for me, hot chocolate, and drew me a hot bath… is this man a keeper or what? <3

(I found the picture Ali!)

Later on that week, I had a last minute visit from my mom and aunt. I entertained them for about a week and a half and even took a short trip to New Orleans. My mother loves visiting that city and we once again got to see a parade. It’s funny to see my church going mother just giggling and having fun while parade floats with penis’ and/or sexual acts pictured were going down the street.

Finally, my mother and aunt headed back home and it took me a week to recover. With all the running around, whenever I did have some down time, I stocked up on Siren Publishing’s ménage titles, hehe. I am such a fan of Dixie Lynn Dwyer, too. I read them all one after another… soon, though, they started to blur together for me a bit. But, you know what? I didn’t care, lol. A heroine who was running from danger, and two alpha heroes (even when they were a bit like bullies at time) coming to her rescue was just what I wanted to read. There are other books I got to read, and so many I want to tell you about. There were some great ones and a few that made me want to thow my ipad across the room, lol. I hope that once I get into a certain routine this month, I’ll finally be able to share with you what I’ve been reading ;)

I hope everyone had a great January and thanks to everyone who’s stopped by to visit our guest authors, participate in our blog tours, enter our giveaways, or just passed by for a read :). Thank you both, Maria and Kaylyn :D

I've been doing 5k races lately, and hope to do better at next year's half marathon :)

Sounds like January wasn't only busy but it was pretty awesome too! And your guy.... so sweet! Way to go on the half marathon, that's no easy task. I can barely get through a 5k anymore! After reading your post though maybe it's time to start being a little more ambitious and training again. A half marathon, I have been told is very rewarding!

I definitely think your boyfriend is a keeper! ;)
I don't think my hubby has ever done anything that sweet. Lol.
It sounds like a busy month. Glad you enjoyed it though. :)
Thanks for sharing.
