About the Author

It took me thirty-seven years to decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. I thought I'd found my calling. In fact, I worked as a nutritionist for twelve years before I finally admitted to myself that while I enjoyed my work, I couldn't imagine doing it for the next thirty years.

My sub-conscious knew that I wanted to be a writer long before the conscious part of my mind decided to get with the program. While my sub-conscious was hard at work creating character profiles, plots and storylines, my conscious mind was telling me it was crazy to give up a successful business on the off-chance one of my manuscripts might rise to the top of someone's never-ending slush pile. After years of listening to that negative voice, I was finally ready to stop making excuses, face the fear and follow my dream of becoming a full-time writer, no matter the outcome. I'm so thankful I did.

I love bringing my characters to life and I am so grateful to have readers who love those characters as much as I do.

When I take a break from writing it's to spend time with my husband (a.k.a. my real life hero), my son, and my writing partner, Tia, a spirited Havanese who enjoys tapping her paw on my keyboard whenever I need a little comic relief.

Hi Cheryl :)

I haven't read your series "Nashville Nights" but sounds very interesting! Do the books need to be written in order? I noticed some of the lead characters have the same last name, are they brother/sister? And last question, do you know how many more YOU would like to write in this series :)?

Thank you for your time Cheryl, will be adding your series to my TBR list!

This is the first I have heard of this series. They sound like the types of books I like to read on long weekends with nothing to do but curl up with a feel good book that I can't put down.

Hi Michele,

Some of the characters are related. Trey and Marisa are brother and sister, and J.T. and Ty from books five and six are brothers.
I have written the books in order. They don't have to be read in order, but previous books do introduce the characters, so it does help to read them in order, if possible.
I planned to write six books in this series, but I've been getting a lot of great feedback about Josh's twin boys from book two. They are adults in book six, so I may consider writing books about each of them down the road. I think I'll let my readers decide for me once they've read the entire series! LOL! I hope I've answered all your questions. Have a great day.

Maria, love your name by the way, this could be a long weekend read, but I've been told it's a good idea to keep a tissue box nearby if you're starting with book one!

Hi Cheryl! I was so excited to see your books here at SA. I've lived around Nashville all my life and thought it is a great place for a series!! The covers get me misty-eyed I miss the city. I live 2 hours away now.
