Simply Ali Spotlights S. A. Price!!

Today Simply Ali welcomes the S in S. A. Price! Everyone give a big welcome the fabulous Stella Price, Authors After Dark organizer extraordinaire!

Take a look at You Burn Me from S. A. Price

You Burn Me

Single Title, Spin Off of The Eververse

Paranormal

November 27, 2011

A priestess of The Morrigan, Xxieda Rolla is a woman who has known success in her business, fulfillment in her family life and is only missing one thing: the love of the man that would have her for always. Sent to Shadow Heights, New York by her goddess to find him, she meets the ever tasty, ever surly Dante Barratt. Sparks fly, and so does Amaretto Latte.

Dante, a dealer of rare and illegal commodities, (and a very tempestuous fire demon) might want the woman who's brown eyes haunt him, but knows better then to get involved with someone who just screams purity. Shes hot, and successful in ways he never could be, and knows a man that just gave away his soul like he did doesn't deserve a woman like that.

After a chance encounter on a dark street corner, and an earth shattering kiss, Both are powerless to deny the chemistry between them... until Xxieda tells him her secret: shes a virgin.

Caught between his head and his heart, can Dante accept the fact that Fate sometimes gives us exactly what we really need, not what we think we want?

Ali: Is there an author that makes you go all “fangirl?

Stella: There’s two actually. One I have had the pleasure of meeting and one I haven’t. Clive Barker, whom I have met, OMG the man is a god. I was so tongue tied that I barely got out the picture request. The man is a genius. The other, Poppy Z Brite is my biggest influence in writing because She kicked the systems ass in the 90’s and showed the world that off the beaten path books have a place in mainstream. I would probably pass out if I met her.

Ali: If you could co-write with another author who would it be and why?

Stella: While I do write with another person, I always come back to writing with Audra. I love it. No one gets me like my sister does. We have shared so much in these worlds that I couldn’t imagine NOT writing with her.

Ali: What are you looking forward to most about AADNola?

Stella: Honestly? For it to be over… LOL. No seriously I am looking forward to meeting up with friends and just hanging out. Theres a lot of new attendees coming this year, so Im eager to say hello and thank them for attending.

Ali: The world is under attack and you are forced to run for your life. You only have room for one book in your survival kit, what book do you take?

Stella: Fiction: Galilee by Clive Barker.

Ali: Who are your favorite literary characters? (Yours or someone else’s)

Stella: Hmmm…. I adore a ton of characters from different series… I love Torin from the LOTU series by Gena Showalter, LOVE Bowen (and that’s a huge deal considering I don’t like werewolves) in the IAD series by Kresley Cole, and of course, I love Ghost, Steve and Ashley Raventon in Poppy Z Brite’s Lost Souls.

Ali: Are there any of your secondary characters you would like to give more life to?

Stella: Absolutely. Almost every character we have either has a story already written or planned, unless, of course, we killed them.

Ali: If you friends were asked to describe you in one word what would it be?

Stella: Fun? LOL

Thanks for visiting this morning ladies!

LOVE both the IAD and LOTU series. I think they are the best examples of how to do a long running series... neither are over the top, or trying to hard to be something edgy. they just are great stories with great characters written by extremely talented women, and I respect that.

Carol: You Burn Me is a Novel Length book we have at Amazon and ARe for 99 cents... you really should try it. its ones of our favorite books that we wrote cuz Dante is just so surly and Xxieda is too damn pushy LOL!

Just got You Burn Me!!! Thanks, Stella, for the heads up on the Amazon price :) Next week it'll be on my In My Mailbox (the meme all us blogger geeks love to do on Sunday and Monday) so everyone will see it on my list and see it's a great price!

Torin so needs his HEA!!! He's so hot, so smart and I love his attitude ~ Gena just needs to find the perfect girl for him to match his wits!!! I agree with you for your "unconventional" choice!!

Ali, thanks, again for another great interview in your birthday month!!

And OMG, I LOVE reading on my Fire! I really thought I was a print a girl, too, but now they'll have to pry my kindle from my cold dead hands...one of them, at least. I might have a small addiction!!

Hi S.A./Stella!
Really interesting book premise. :X I can't resist asking - how does one pronounce "Xxieda"?

Omg ARCHER. I watched all of Frisky Dingo because of Archer... <3 Ray.

I can't imagine running the conference - major props to you.

Love the specificity of your answers too. Seems most authors are going for wine - wondering if someone's bringing some bottles to AAD Nola for you ladies to party it up. ;)

Stella Price said...

Lime:

Its pronounced Zy-EE-Dah LOl And oddly your the only person to ask me that question.

Archer is the BEST... I love Ms. Gielette. Shit did I spell that right?

I know Im driving down with a couple bottles because the hotel doesnt carry the kind I like!

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you for the interesting interview Stella mentioned authors, series, books I wasn't familiar with (except Kresley Cole's IAD series which I love!), so Ill have to check out a couple of things now.

And how I envy you Stella, I LOVE Pjs (as my family, my bank account and the sales girl at Women's Secret can testify), and I have quite the collection. I wish I could wear them more ;-)

Thank you for the giveaway!
