Simply Ali Spotlights P. J. Schnyder!!

Say Hello to today's Simply Ali
Authors After Dark Author P. J. Schnyder!!

Check out the cover for her latest release
A Swan in Siam that is included in the
Tales of the Archives, Volume Two
the official anthology of the
Ministry of Peculiar Occurences,
produced by
Imagine That! Studios and Koru Studios in association with Harper Voyager Books.

Ali: Is there an author that makes you go all “fangirl?”

P. J.: Yes! Actually, there's several. I recently had the chance to meet Patricia Briggs. She gave a reading of her recent Alpha and Omega series release and a fun Q&A, then took plenty of time to sign books and chat with her fans.

*squee!*

I'm hoping to meet Nalini Singh at RT and would absolutely love to meet Anne Bishop someday.

Ali: If you could co-write with another author who would it be and why?

P. J.: Hmm. Co-writing is a very challenging endeavor. I have so much respect to writing teams because of the work that goes into the project and the pure magic required to mesh two writing minds (both of which likely have multiple personalities). The complexity boggles my mind!

If I did co-write, I think it would be with my little sister. The two of us have a long history or working together and balancing each other. She's the brilliant mind in most of my brainstorming already. :)

Ali:What are you looking forward to most about AADNola?

P. J.: Meeting readers! I'll never get used to the idea of someone reading one of my stories, and love to meet the readers who enjoy them.

Ali: The world is under attack and you are forced to run for your life. You only have room for one book in your survival kit, what book do you take?

P. J.: iPad - it carries lots of books...

Ali: Who are your favorite literary characters? (Yours or someone else’s)

P. J.: Winnie the Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore. There's a lot of wisdom to be learned from them.

Ali: Are there any of your secondary characters you would like to give more life to?

P. J.: Mack from Terra's Guardians will definitely have a story all his own.
Boggle from the Triton Esperiment series is also a very dear character and I will find a way to give him a love story in answer to the Challenge issued by The Galaxy Express!

Ali: If you friends were asked to describe you in one word what would it be?

P. J.: Effervescent

It's been used by many different, completely unrelated groups of friends and even work colleagues. I figure it's not a coincidence. :P

PJ - I love your response to the fav characters. Pooh, piglet, tigger, et al are some of my favorites too. (Even if some loved ones have compared me to Eyore...)

Hunting Kat sounds great. It's been on my TBR list for a while - must get it!

I totally met Nalini Singh at Lori Fosters last year ~ but I had only just started her Psy/Changeling series, so I DID talk to her, just walked right up and told her how much I was loving listening to it in Audio, but I really hadn't scraped the surface of her Awesomness then, so had NO idea of what a Goddess stood before me, lol. She was nice and sweet and gracious...and I'd have mugged the hell out of her mind if I'd have been further along in the series. Either series!

Loved the interview! I would be all fan girl over Patricia Briggs and Nalini Singh too...lol....I had no idea that there were additional novella like books being done for the Ministry of Peculiar Occurences! I am so thrilled....I'm so thrilled I had to pick them both up for my Kindle...Thanks for the giveaway!

You are a new to me author, but I just added your books to my wishlist as they both sound interesting. I have been to Thailand 2 years ago and was amazed by its rich culture and history, however I haven't read any novel set there, so I would love to read A swan in Siam :-)

Thank you for the fun interview!

You are a new author to me but I will be checking out your books. You reacted to Angela Knight the same way I would if I saw one of my favorite authors in an elevator. Thanks for taking time to do this.
