Today Simply Ali welcomes Authors After Dark Author Jaye Wells!!

Check out Jaye Wells Hot Upcoming Release, Blue Blooded Vamp!!

Sabina Kane, Book 5

Urban Fantasy, Paranormal

June 1, 2012

The epic conclusion to the amazing Sabina Kane urban fantasy series!

Sabina Kane is on the hunt. Her prey: Cain, the father of the vampire race and the one who murdered her family and her friends. Unfortunately, Cain is hunting Sabina, too.

The one man who holds the key to defeating Cain is, of course, Abel. A mage with secrets to spare and, hopefully, the power to match it. Unfortunately, for Sabina, he’s in Rome and may not want to be found.

Sabina sets out for Italy with her friends, Giguhl and Adam Lazarus, to track down the only man who can get her the revenge she hungers for. But will he help her or oppose her? And just who is Abel, really? Worst of all, when Sabina figures out the goddess Lilith has a plan for her-she realizes this trip is getting deadlier by the minute. As they say: when in Rome-SURVIVE.

Ali: Is there an author that makes you go all “fangirl?”

Jaye: I am not easily rattled, but I imagine I would probably pee a little if I met Anne Rice.

Ali: If you could co-write with another author who would it be and why?

Jaye: Ooh tough one. Probably one of my friends like Danny Marks or Nicole Peeler or Liliana Hart because it would be so much fun to work every day.

Ali: What are you looking forward to most about AADNola?

Jaye: I'm pretty public about my love for all things New Orleans. Any excuse to hang out there is a good one. Even better that I'll be there with so many fun authors and readers. It's going to be a blast.

Ali: The world is under attack and you are forced to run for your life. You only have room for one book in your survival kit, what book do you take?

Jaye: You mean besides a survival manual? Probably something funny like Lamb by Christopher Moore.

Ali: Who are your favorite literary characters? (Yours or someone else’s)

Jaye: Jinx form Kim Harrison's Hollow's series, Acheron form Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunters, The entire Black Dagger Brotherhood from J.R. Ward, Lula from the Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich. Too many others to name.

Ali: Are there any of your secondary characters you would like to give more life to?

Jaye: I would love to write a story some day about Queen Maeve. I know a lot more about her backstory than I was able to work into the books.

Ali: If you friends were asked to describe you in one word what would it be?

Jaye: I asked two of my best friends. Their answers were "awesome" and "brazen." Make of that what you will.

Sabina Kane, Book 2

Sabina Kane doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to family. After all, her own grandmother, leader of the vampire race, wants her dead. So when she arrives in New York to meet her mage relatives, the reunion puts the fun in dysfunctional. Not only is mage culture completely bizarre, but everyone seems to think she’s some kind of ‘Chosen’ who’ll unite the dark races. Sabina doesn’t care who chose her, she’s not into destiny.

But the mages aren’t Sabina’s only problem. In New York’s Black Light District, she has run-ins with fighting demons, hostile werewolves and an opportunistic old flame. Sabina thought she’d take a bite out of the Big Apple – but it looks like it wants to bite back.

I haven't read this series...another one I have to catch up on. I agree with with the statement about loving all things NOLA. I also use any excuse to go there. That's okay right???

Hi, Jaye!

I too love Lula from the Stephanie Plum series even though I don't really consider her a 'plus size' woman given her size. We all have our favorite authors so here's to hoping you will get to visit Anne Rice soon!
