Simply Ali Spotlights Eliza Gayle!!

Today Simply Ali welcomes Authors After Dark Author Eliza Gayle!

Take a look at Eliza's latest release Vampire Awakening

Gypsy Ink Books

Paranormal, Erotic, Romance

Novella

The truth may set her free but there’s no guarantee she’ll recover.

Abby Douglas has lived in the dark for six months. Until a mysterious package and a voice in a dream spark a chain of events she didn’t see coming. To futher complicate matters, a lethally stunning stranger walks into her life and awakens erotic needs inside her that run deep. Now she has to decide how much she’ll give up to unlock her memories.

Caleb Barrett, a vampire on a mission, pursues Abby while on the hunt for a homicidal vampire. Instead he’s captured by a silken voice and haunting eyes that stir an insatiable hunger. An instant connection is forged and Caleb marks her as his own with no intention of letting her go. When she runs from him all bets are off and this dead sexy cowboy will do whatever it takes to find out what secrets her mind harbors before it’s too late. Rules or no rules.

Suddenly being careful what you wish for is more than just another cliché, it’s life or death.

This books contains one sexy as sin, motorcycle riding, black leather wearing vampire with a two track mind. Sex and blood.

Please note: This book was previously published as Awaken and has been revised and re-edited for re-release.

Ali: Is there an author that makes you go all “fangirl?”

Eliza: There are lots of authors that I am in awe of. When I first started writing and going to conventions I remember being so excited to meet Sherrilyn Kenyon. (who is the sweetest) Of course, I try to be all cool and pretend I'm not squeeing inside. lol Let's hope that doesn't come off weird.

Ali: If you could co-write with another author who would it be and why?

Eliza: There are many authors I'd be honored to co-write with although Shayla Black comes to mind at the moment. I've been in love with her Wicked Lovers series for a while and I think I could learn a lot from her descriptive style.

Ali: What are you looking forward to most about AADNola?

Eliza: Meeting up with friends I've made from past AAD's and exploring the city. It's going to be so much fun.

Ali: The world is under attack and you are forced to run for your life. You only have room for one book in your survival kit, what book do you take?

Eliza: LOL. Probably the zombie survival book my husband bought me. We joke about it all the time. Besides that book it would probably be Welcome to Temptation by Jennifer Crusie. I'd want a book that made me laugh a lot.

Ali: Who are your favorite literary characters? (Yours or someone else’s)

Eliza: Valerius from Sherrilyn Kenyon's series and Roarke from JD Robb's In Death series. Although honestly there is probably an extensive list of characters I love. Cat and Bones comes to mind.

Ali: Are there any of your secondary characters you would like to give more life to?

Eliza: Yes, in the Purgatory series the club manager Gabe has made many appearances. One of these days I will find out what his story is and write a book for him.
In my new vampire book, Vampire Awakening, I'd love to go back and explore a prequel about Russell. Unfortunately that story would not have much of an HEA so his story would be difficult.

Ali: If you friends were asked to describe you in one word what would it be?

Eliza: hehe. I'm not sure I want to know. Maybe tenacious.

Fun interview. I can't wait to read Vampire Awakening. It sounds amazing. I love books by Jennifer Crusie. They all make me laugh. I don't know how Ali expected you to choose between vampires and shifters. That's just wrong! Thanks for the chance to win.

Great interview :) It is a hard choice between vampire and Shifter! I would pick shifter though only because as a vampire I would out live all my loved ones... unless I turned them and I would have a hard time killing one of my loved ones :( so yep shifter for me makes things less complicated lol :)

Eliza - Roarke. Le sigh. He is the perfect hero.

Ali - Thanks for running such a great contest. I'm discovering new authors and learning all sorts of interesting facts.

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments. I've been at RT this week so it's been crazy.

Cathy, no I've never worked stairs into a sexy scene but it's something to keep in mind.

Marybelle, Vampire Awakening is about a third longer than the original version. It's still the same story but I hope with richer detail and writing that suits my current style.

Thanks again, Ali!

Wait, so Caleb is a sexy as sin, motorcycle riding, black leather wearing cowboy vampire with a two track mind? My gosh, move aside Eric Northman! Although I wouldn't mind both.

Yay for another Roarke fan! I just learned of his awesomeness!

Always wondered if any vamps and their partners could/would do it in the air? Ala Twilight's dance scene.

And umm stairs? Aren't those uncomfortable? Or do you advise to use lots of pillows? ;-) lol

Thank you for the fun interview Ladies!

As for your book - loved it, and the "warning." :)
