Interview & Giveaway: Duchess of Sin by Laurel McKee

**Update 12/02: Interview with Laurel McKee has been added

I recently got to ask Laurel McKee some questions about her recent release, Duchess of Sin, and more....

Ali: Congrats on your latest release, Laurel McKee! What can you tell us about Duchess of Sin that we won't read about in the back blurb?

*Laurel McKee: You'll have to read the book to find out all that! :) I love the passionate connection, almost a soulmate-dom, between Anna and Conlan, which I sensed when they first met in book one, "Countess of Scandal," and I also really enjoyed spending time with the secondary characters, getting to know their personalities and destinies. I hope readers enjoy them too!

Ali: How did you come up with the idea for the trilogy of The Daughters of Erin?

*Laurel: Two things really--I love Ireland! It's a beautiful, dramatic country with a turbulent history that seems just perfect for the setting of a passionate romance. And when I was a child I always wished for a sister (I only have one brother!), so the two came together in the stories of the Blacknall sisters and their hunky heroes.

Ali: Out of the three sisters in the trilogy, Eliza, Anna, and Caroline Blacknall, which one would you consider as your favorite and why?

*Laurel: That's such a hard question! They came to feel like they actually were my sisters by the time I finished writing the third book. Eliza is so strong and brave, and Anna beautiful and passionate, all things I'd like to be. But I do like Caroline very much, since she's bookish and kind of shy like me. (but she does get her own wild adventure)

Ali: What's coming up next for you, Laurel?

*Laurel: Caroline's book, "Lady of Seduction," is out in June 2011! I can't wait.

Ali: ... and now for my favorite question... What's you favorite dessert or sweet treat?

*Laurel: Just one??? I have such a terrible sweet tooth, it is REALLY hard to choose just one. Cremé brulee, strawberry shortcake, lemon tarts, oatmeal cookies, I love them all. But I'll always choose anything chocolate!

(omg, her list of sweets makes my mouth water... I just lurve cremé brulee)

I have always loved Amanda's books but haven't read this trilogy by Laurel. I have some catching up to do. I love anything Scots/Irish. These are definitely on my TRL. I'm so glad to realize Laurel and Amanda are one and the same. Please count me in. And those desserts have my mouth watering along with her Irishmen. :)
