Bookshelf Saturday... new books added to my bookshelf... aka my TBR mountain

Recently, I went to check the mail at my house... I had several boxes waiting there for me (not unusual). I had the Brat (for those who don't know, she's my 8yr old sis) come with me, and as I carried the boxes to my car, she had the gall to roll her eyes and tell me that I had too many books! *gasp*
"More books, Ali? You haven't even read all the ones you have," she tells me.
Hmph, what does she know, right? One can never have enough books, lol

Although... this does make me realize that there are only so many books I may get to and that my bedroom isn't going to grow any bigger to accomodate my print books (a shame, that is, lol)... which is why I'll be giving some up that I already have on my Kindle... a bit bittersweet for me :) I love sharing... I just hate giving up a book of mine, lol

These next two books I've received are by two authors I'll be hosting soon on my blog:

I agree one can never have too many books. My TBR grows monthly and I could stop buying and still find something new to read for at least 6 months. Good luck paring your collection.

Too many books? Blasphemy! Lol.

I have though started to get more ebooks. I'm one of those people who reads 2-3 books at a time, depending on my mood at a particular moment. Hence, I like the convenience and portability of ebooks, since I can have dozens of them stored on my iPod touch. And ebooks certainly save a lot of space; I myself have a tiny little bedroom with only two tiny shelves.

* Gasp * Too many books? She sounds like my husband. Today I bought nine books for twelve bucks at the flea market

Looks like I will need another tote. Because hubs already said that he can not build me any more shelves in the living room. Need a bigger home. LOL

Never heard of those authors. Sound good.

I get the eye roll all the time, though reading more ebooks these days does cut down on that, lol.

Now I have two more books to add to my wish list.

My husband has been getting on my nerves with the 'You have too many books" all the time. I ahve 3 book shelves and want to get two more because I need more. I told him I could buy some long bookshelves that can be put on the upper part of the walls.

He just looked at me and shook his head. I can never have too many books. But I have a 1 bdrm apt and know that at some point, I won't be able to walk if I keep going like this. lol

Oooh! I love the look of Duchess of Sin. Reminds me that it has been awhile since last time I read such book. Perhaps it's about time for me to start reading them again.

I agree that you never have too many books. I have a bedroom that is overflowing. My daughter's is the same. She still went to the library book sale this year.
I liked the excerpts and will add these to my TBB list.

I don't think I could ever have too many books, although my husband disagrees! I'm always buying more or trying to win them. Hey, I WILL read them all eventually. It's a great feeling when I go to the mailbox and find another one there! :)
