Found a new fave author :) ... but...

It's always nice to start reading a book by a new author and realize that you're in love... not just with the hero (though, he is hunky)... but, the story itself and the way the author writes it. I've always been one to be willing to try any new author or genre... Some, I may wonder, "When does this end? Or, when does it actually get interesting?". Others, I may say to myself, "Hm, this wasn't so bad. I'll probably try the author again." Then, there are those books I read where I think, "Wow, this is good... I want more... like now."
Usually, when that happens I have to check out and buy the entire backlist for said author... what else is there to do but feed my hunger, lol

*sigh* This is where my problem begins now... see, I recently saw the movie New Moon and it was just one of those movies that I enjoyed because... well, because it was a teen romancey movie, with angst, drama, love... and I love all that, lol.

So, afterwards, I wanted to read a book with all that... without actually having to read New Moon (I just haven't been in the mood to read any of those books. Even though I do enjoy the movie :)) Yet, instead of buying a vampire ebook as planned, I somehow ended up with two very different werewolf novellas.

One was 'eh', and I'll tell you more about it later... but, omg, the other one?! It was just what I wanted *bg* It had the alpha hero, the heroine who was in danger, and such heat between the two. What book was this, you may ask. Well, it's The Alpha by Cynthia Carole. This novella is part of Cynthia's Cedarville series... alas, there's only one other book out in this series as of right now, The Windigo. And, even worse, there's only three total books out by Ms. Cynthia Carole. The third one is a Sci-Fi/Fantasy Erotic Romance, The Warlord's Price. All three books are published with Purple Sword Publications.

This is just no good, I tell you... what am I to do after I finish with her books this week? I must write her an e-mail and ask her to write faster... think that'll help? lol

Stay tuned as I share more about my recent reads ;)

Question of the Day: Any book suggestions that'll quench my need for a story like the Twilight series?

A Time To Say Thanks

I always love to help support our soldiers, in any way and whenever possible. Last year I was told about this program sponsored by Xerox.

In their 'About Us' tab you'll find out what exactly this program is about:

The mission of Let's Say Thanks is to provide a way for individuals across the country to recognize U.S. troops stationed overseas. By submitting a message through this site you have the opportunity to send a free personalized postcard greeting to deployed servicemen and women.

The postcards, depicting patriotic scenes and hometown images, were selected from a pool of entries from children across the country.

All you have to do is click on your favorite design and either select the message that best expresses your sentiment or draft a personal note. The postcards are then printed on the Xerox iGen3® Digital Production Press and mailed in care packages by military support organization Give2TheTroops®.

Xerox is committed to helping people across the nation express their gratitude to our troops overseas. The launch of this program is aimed at reminding them how much Americans appreciate their service.

I hope you can take a few moments of your time to click on the link above and send a card. It only takes about a couple minutes to pick a card and fill in your name and hometown.

Question for today: Where you able to send out a card?
