Whoo-hoo! I'm baaack! :)

WOW! After five days of RT, I thank God to get a little rest today :)

OMG! Do I have so many books! Eek, I don't even know where I'll put some of them, lol. I'm thinking that I'll be giving a lot away, he he.

Oooh, and don't even let me get started on the damage I did to my credit card on Saturday's book signing, lol. I don't think it's a good thing to have some of my favorite authors in one place in one day :)). It's funny, because I even bought books I already own, just because that's how much I love them :)

So, today, let me share with you the books I got to purchase at this years RT book signing:

1. Seducing Simon by Maya Banks, published by Samhain Publishing

2. Colter's Woman by Maya Banks, published by Samhain Publishing

3. Caught by Cupid Anthology by Maya Banks, Gwendolyn Cease, and Bianca D'Arc, published by Samhain Publishing

...side note... okay, you see how I've bought three books by Maya Banks? This is how much I love this woman's stories, lol. I already own two of these books, but had to show my support at the signing :) OMG, if you haven't read any of her stories yet, you have got to do it! Start with Seducing Simon, if you'd like, her first release with Samhain Publishing. Mark your calendar's, too, for her Berkley Heat release of For Her Pleasure coming out in September 2007, a single author anthology.

4. Lords of the Were by Bianca D'Arc, published by Samhain Publishing

...side note... this is another one of my favorite Samhain authors. I mean the worlds she creats as well as the characters are so unique and amazing.

5. How to Conjure a Man by Nancy Lindquist, published by Samhain Publishing

...I got to spend a great deal of time with Nancy during RT and I've got to say that she's such a joy and funny, as I imagine her book will be :) Which is why I just had to buy two copies! :)

6. Blackmailed by Annmarie McKenna, published by Samhain Publishing

7. Seeing Eye Mate by Annmarie McKenna, published by Samhain Publishing

...again, I've bought books I already owned by Annmarie McKenna, lol. Seriously, though, if you've read her books you'd completely understand :) I first fell in love with Annmarie's story when I read Blackmailed, a m/f/m, and will now buy anything this lady writes... seriously, that good ;)

8. The Treasure by Beth Williamson, published by Samhain Publishing

9. Giving Chase by Lauren Dane, published by Samhain Publishing

10. Loup Garou by Mandy M Roth, published by Samhain Publishing

...wow, eleven copies of books published by Samhain. I think that's more than half of my total :) I just love that they have such diverse books and such great authors...

11. Cracked: Prelude to Passion by Ruby Storm, published by Ellora's Cave

12. Bad in Boots 2: Colt's Choice by Patrice Michelle, published by Ellora's Cave

13. Cutting Loose by Lise Fuller, published by Cerridwen Press

14. Cover Me by Sharona Nelson, published by Amber Quill Press

... I have read Sharona's books under the name Barrie Abalard and loved them, but this is a more contemporary romance.

15. Pleasure of the Night by Sylvia Day, published by Avon Red

... OMG! I couldn't believe it when I got a chance to meet Sylvia Day... well, heck, I couldn't believe it when I got to meet any author, lol. Seriously, though, I've loved Sylvia since her Bad Boys Ahoy and the novella Lucien's Gamble.

16. The Agency: Engel and Gustavo by J.J. Massa, published by LoveYouDivine

... J.J. Massa is an absolute doll and her stories are wonderful no matter what she's writing :)

17. Wicked Ties by Shayla Black, published by Berkley Heat

18. Eye of the Storm by Samantha Storm, published by New Concepts Publishing

...okay, like I mentioned, the authors I got a chance to meet were all so nice...but, Samantha, was a hoot! OMG, if you ever get a chance to meet her prepare to laugh your head off, lol. This lady is a riot and just to make me more jealous, she looks about half her age! And with a personality like hers, I can't wait to find out what her book is like :)

19. Holly, Ivy, and Me Anthology by Monica Burns and Charlotte Featherstone, published by New Concepts Publishing

20. Satisfaction Guaranteed: A Collection of Erotic Romance by Christiane France, published by Amber Quill Press

21. Hunting Diana by Doreen Orsini, published by Triskelion Publishing

...Hunting Diana is the first book I read from Doreen Orsini, but trust me it won't be the last :)

22. Fire Maiden by Tina Gerow, published by Triskelion Publishing

... I loved Tina's book Stone Maiden, a gargoyle book, and can't wait to find the time to read this one :)

23. Devotion Calls by Caridad Pineiro, published by Silhouette Nocturne

...if you've read my previous posts, you'll know that I love the new Silhouette Nocturne line, so this book is not only from one of my favorite new series lines, but also from a great author and her series The Calling :)

Oh-oh... I've lost a couple books! Oh, no! I bought a couple books in cd form and now I can't find them *searching through all the promo items and goodies, making sure not to hit anyone* Ugh, this isn't good... though, knowing me, it isn't surprising, lol. As soon as I find them I'll be sure to post them :)

Until Next Time,
~Ali

#3 Thursday Thirteen: Things to do at RT

Thirteen Things about Ali :)

Okay, it is now Friday, I know, I know, but I figured better late than never... right? lol
Well, I was busy trying to get myself ready for next weeks RT and before I knew it, it was time to go to work, again. Can you believe it, there's only five more days left until this years Romantic Times Book Lovers Convention here in Houston!! To say that I'm excited would be an understatement, lol. I'm so thrilled and have been telling someone everyday how many days are left... I seriously think they want to hang me now, lol. To tell the truth, though, I'm also very nervous. I'm seriously a shy when you first meet me in person, and it takes a long time for me to come out of my shell... and I'm just so nervous that I'm just going to freeze there :)
But, here are thirteen things, that if I'm just not standing there all bug eyed, I hope to get to do at RT :)

1. I hope to meet some of the readers I've chatted with online :)

2. I hope to meet some of the writers that are on my stalking... I mean, meeting list :) Just a few are Bianca D'Arc, Annmarie McKenna, Sylvia Day, Doreen Orsini, Arianna Hart, JJ Massa, Michelle Pillow, Mandy Roth, Judy Mays, Beth Williamson, Annmarie Ortega, Ann Cory, Ashlyn Chase and so many more.

3. I hope to meet some new people and make new friends :)

4. Be able to attend the parties.

5. I hope I don't chicken out of wearing one of the costumes I have for the parties... although, I just may chicken out of wearing the one to the Ellora's Cave Moulin Rouge Fantasy Party... it's a little more risque than anything I've ever worn *blush*

6. Hmm... maybe one of the cover models wouldn't mind taking a picture with me? ;)

7. I hope that I get a chance to volunteer and help out. I know that in big events like this they must need a lot of help, and so I've already offered to help volunteer.

8. I hope to be on time, if not early, for the events... ugh, knowing me, this might be a longshot, lol

9. I hope I win at least one of those goody baskets :)

10. Buy books... one can never have enough, lol.. just don't tell that to Nathan.

11. Get author signatures on my books and bookplates.

12. Try not to hide behind people or in corners, lol

13. Just let loose and have fun!

Look forward to seeing some of you at RT next week :)
I'll try to post pics as soon as possible :)

Until next time,
~Ali

#2 Thursday Thirteen: Favorite Animated Disney Movies

Thirteen Things about Ali

Well, yesterday, I got a chance to see 'Disney on Ice: Princess Wishes' with my little sister, NiCe aka the brat, and my father and step-mother. I honestly think my father took me because he felt guilty that I didn't go to things like that when I was a child, lol.

And, to tell the truth, I think I was just as wide eyed as my sister was through the whole thing. I was singing along with the show and smiled when the Princes got the Prinecess'. I don't know if it's the kid in me or the romantic in me, but I just love watching Disney Princess movies :). After the show, I turned to my dad and told him that 'when I grow up, I want to be a Princess.' lol

So, today's list is about my favorite Disney Movies. Be sure to post your favorite Disney movies, too :)

1. Sleeping Beauty - This is the first Disney movie I can remember watching, and by far my favorite.

2. Cinderella - Who doesn't love Cinderella? I wish I had my own fair godmother.

3. Beauty and the Beast - I can actually remember watching this movie for the first time and crying both in the beginning when the Beast was first cursed, and in the end when he was about to meet his end.

4. Snow White and The Seven Dwarves - Hi-ho-Hi-ho... thank God my step-mother isn't so evil, lol

5. The Little Mermaid - Okay, I'll be honest with you, when this movie first came out, I didn't like it. My other sister was crazy about Ariel, but I really didn't see the charm. Now, years later, I do enjoy the story more :)

6. Mulan - Maybe it's the fact that she was the first Asian heroine, and I'm part Korean, lol, or maybe it's the fact that she could kick some butt, but I loved this movie and found it really endearing :)

7. The Lion King - I remember sobbing in this movie, too. Not only was the visual just stunning, but great soundtrack, too :)

8. Peter Pan - Who doesn't wish they could stay young forever, sometimes ;)

9. Alice In Wonderland - I think it's the fact that I can relate to Alice daydreaming... my own mind is always wandering, lol

10. Aladdin - Wish I could make my own three wishes *sigh* there I go daydreaming again, lol

11. Pocahontas - This was a beautiful movie with great songs.

12. Pinocchio - Definitely a lesson on not lying, lol

13. Cinderella III - This dvd was just released, and was better than most sequels usually are. I loved it and was so happy when my bf, Nate, bought it for me for Valentines... what a sweety :)

Until next time,
~Ali

They're Here!

Samhain Publishing's release day is today, and while they have six great releases out today, there are four romances that I'm especially interested in by authors Arianna Hart, Mandy M Roth, Kim Rees, and Mackenzie McKade:

A Man For Marley by Arianna Hart
This is a contemporary romance, and as usual a must buy for me, not only because I love contemporary romances, but, because Arianna Hart is an auto-buy author for me. Her story lines are great filled with much action, passion, laughter and romance.

Sacred Places II: Goddess of the Grove by Mandy M Roth

Goddess of the Grove is the second novella in Mandy's Sacred Places series. The first novella was hot and I don't think this will be any different ;) This novella is a red hot paranormal romance that tells a story of a druid, Korey, and Gigi, the daughter of a great god. And as the past catches up with them, will Gigi be able to put her trust in Korey?

Past Lies by Kim Rees

Kim Rees' last contemporary romance, Buying Mackenzie's Baby, was an emotional tear jerker, and from the looks of it, this'll be another heart wrencher. Be sure to have kleenex close by.

Lisa's Gift by Mackenzie McKade

Lisa's Gift is the story of Jana and how the love of one best-friend helps her overcome, to find love with another. Now, be warned, this is a red hot read, with some f/f/m interaction, foursome, and BDSM.
