Time for me to move on...

...and stop my self-pity. So what if I lost my e-books? So what if it might cost me $300 to retrieve the data on my card? *sob*
Ugh, this is what I get for never backing up my information. Oh, well.
In order to brighten my mood, I'm going to have a little contest for those who visit my blog. It's a contest that's going to help rebuild my e-book library while you get a chance to win some prizes :-) Yay!
I'll post the contest soon :-)
Until then, I've had to change some things around and will change my next review to Crimson Promise by Sapphire Phelan from Lady Aibell, which looks to be interesting, if not different.

Houston we have a problem...

Ack! I'm in a crisis!
Ugh, I can't believe this, but my USB card doesn't seem to want to work. The same card that has all my e-books saved onto it. *sob* I've been tearing up since I've realized the problem. Why, oh why? Why me?
Okay, maybe I'm sounding a bit dramatic, but can you blame me? It's as if someones just robbed me of all my books. *gasp*
My father, the computer genius, tells me he doesn't know what the problem is *boo-hoo*, and that I might have to send it off to get it fixed. Oh my, oh dear...I think I'll have to send up a desperate prayer for this one.
I have some of the e-books on my computer, so hopefully I can get back with another review tomorrow. Well, I ask that you say a little prayer for me :-)
Hopefully things will look better in the morning :-) I'm optimistic...for now :-)

Ali's Review: Electrical Storm

Electrical Storm

By: Isabella Jordan

Published by: Amber Heat

Length: Short and Sweet, not to mention hot, 24 pgs.

Ali's Report Card: A

One year after the anniversary of her breakup with Paul Walker, Alison Tholl is given a second chance. With time on her on her side, can she right the wrongs?

Without giving away too much, a pitfall of reviewing a novella ;-), I do want to say that Isabella has thought up a great plot. Alison had once lost her chance at 'happily-ever-after' with the one person she can no longer forget. After a trip back, to the moment that changed her life, Alison is ready to make things different this time around. Only question is, will Paul let her?

This story makes you realize how you shouldn't take anyone for granted, and sometimes you should rethink your priorities. You'll rejoice along with Alison when she realizes that life has granted her a second chance. And you'll definitely heat up when Alison decides to celebrates her reunion. Sex between Alison and Paul is hotter than its ever been, after all, distance does make the heart grow fonder and the sex even steamier.

Isabella Jordan has done a great job with this short story. Just when you're wondering how she'll tie this all up, she surprises you with a beautiful ending. Now this is a true erotic romance.

Go on and visit Isabella Jordan's website at www.isabellajordan.com and her blog at http://isabellajordan.blogspot.com . Coming in August from Isabella will be Accidently Yours at Amber Heat, and with a hunk like that on the cover I'll be sure to make it Definitely Mine, lol

Got three more books to review!

Well, I meant to write back sooner...but like everyone knows, the days just go by too fast ;-)
I'll be writing a review on two short stories, Electrical Storm by Isabella Jordan and Amidst a Crowd of Stars by Megan Hart, and one novel, Animal Dreams by Jeanne Laws. I was not disappointed with any of these and can't wait to tell you about them. More books to add to you tbb list ;-)

Ali's Review: One and Only

One and Only
By: Bianca D'Arc
Published By: Lady Aibell

Length: So short you could read it as a nooner, lol :-)
Ali's Report Card: B

Atticus, a lonely vampire, is ready to welcome death after a fateful crash. But after hearing the heartbeat of one survivor, Lissa, he makes a decision that could change both their lives.
I'll have to keep this review short, because I don't want to give anything away. I will say, that while this is a good read, I did give it a B because I felt it was just too short. You don't really get a feel for the characters or get into the story too much. And personally, I find it difficult to belive characters falling in love right away, even if they are meant to be together.
Bianca has mentioned more books to this series, so I can't wait to see how those turn out, and hope to see more of Atticus and Lissa in those books.
If you're looking for a good "panty-wetter", lol, be sure to pick up this novella :-)
One and Only has let me get a feel for Bianca's writting, and next I hope to read, from her Dragon Knights series, Maiden Flight, published by Samhain Publishing. Also, I really can't wait for her story 'Warrior's Heart', out this summer from Chippewa.
Be sure to check out all of Bianca D'Arcs book at her website, www.biancadarc.com.

I did it!

Phew...I actually finished with a review :-)
If it doesn't read well...I'm sorry, I'm going to have to blame it on the drowsiness...but trust me, I highly do recommend Awakening to those who haven't read it :-)
I'm hoping to learn more on how to blog. I look at some of the other blogs and think, "Wow! This is so great." Makes me feel kinda embarrased about my little blog here, lol
Next on my reading list is another short story, One and Only, by Bianca D'Arc. This one is published by Chippewa Publishing's new Lady Aibell.
I'll tell you all about it tomorrow.

Ali's Review: Tales of the Pride: Awakening

Tales of the Pride: Awakening
By: Larissa Lyons
Published by: Amber Heat

Length: Short and Hot, Hot, Hot!
Ali's Report Card: A

Jaden, a panthlion feline breed, is starting to wake up from hibernation and finds himself at an auction...being auctioned off. To both his surprise and pleasure, he scents his mate nearby. While in his panthlion form form, Jaden is already aroused by the scent of Lyra, what happens once he changes is very interesting.
Lyra waits at the auction to purchase her weapons when Jaden is put up for sale. Without a seconds thought, she starts to bid on this legendary panthlion. But what's a girl to do when one minute she's faced with a panthlion and the next, she's looking up at a fine specimen of male?

This is one hot and sweaty read! Larissa has packed a great plot with sex, romance, and did I mention the sex ;-) , into a short novella. The attraction between Jaden and Lyra is there and believable. Lyra is a strong heroine who works hard at what she does, and is a good match to Jaden, a Protector of his people.
Larissa does tell us enough about Jaden and Lyra, where we get a feel for them. She writes about her world and the different creatures in a way that you can actually picture it. I love it when an author can describe things without boring you. Too much detail can be, well, too much.
Larissa is definitely on my list of authors to watch out for. I hope to be hearing more news on this series pretty soon...if not, she'll be hearing more from me :-) lol
So, if you're in the mood for a quick hot erotic romance, this is definitely a must read.

Couldn't decide...

...what to use this blog for. But I think I'm going to use it to discuss the books I've just recently read :-) I'm probably the only one who's going to be reading my post, lol. Let's see how this works out, though. I'll be back soon to write about my recent read 'Tales of the Pride: Awakening'.
